Camp Huapoca

Print
Huapoca is a Christian campground located in the center of Rancho Huapoca, supported by Help International Ministries, used mostly by Mexican church groups, but also available to churches and Christian organizations from the U.S. The main emphasis of the camp is spiritual. Each group comes with its own staff and program. We just provide the facilities and give assistance.

Facilities: 7 cabins, for total of 112 single beds; men’s and women’s bathhouse, each with five showers, 5 toilets, and 5 sinks; covered dining and meeting area; kitchen; outdoor amphitheater; store and class room; basketball and volleyball courts; mini soccer field.

Cost: for churches from Mexico: There is no charge for the use of the facilities. The only charge is for expenses incurred during your stay. This includes the consumption of diesel used by the generator, propane gas used by the hot water heaters, toilet paper and paper towels used in the bathrooms, and other miscellaneous items. The policy is that the group keeps the facilities and grounds clean during their stay, and leave it clean upon their departure. Any donations are greatly appreciated.

Traditionally, the camp groups have had to bring their own food and cooks to prepare all their own meals. However we are now in our second year to offer food service, with many groups favor, to eliminate the burden of all the work in the kitchen. Also, we are just starting to offer outdoor recreational activities such as horseback riding, canoeing, hiking, and challenge courses. These activities are used as learning tools, to encourage spiritual growth.

Denominations that have come to use the campground: Bible Churches, Baptists, Mennonites, Hebron Ministries, Mexican Evangelical Mission. We have the right to deny service to any church or organization.
